Radio DJ, born 29 January 1943 in Guildford, Surrey, England, UK. Blackburn was the first radio DJ on the then new fledgeling BBC Radio 1 station. He has since gone on to somewhat legendary status, continuing to present many radio shows and make multiple TV programme appearances throughout a long and varied career, spanning several decades.
